This page is specifically designed for the GI-32 process. It may not effectively maintain printers which use a different ink process because the primary colors can differ dramatically.
Instructions for use:
In order for the maintenance page to properly maintain your printer, it must be used as directed. Failure to adhere to the specified instructions may reduce the efficacy of the process.
Print the maintenance page at least every 24 hours.
It is recommended to print in "high quality" mode.
"High quality" mode performs more passes and is more ink-intensive, helping to more thoroughly clear the nozzles and flow ink in the CFS.
"Standard" mode uses fewer passes and less ink in order to print non-photo documents faster. Because less ink is used and a faster spray pattern is used, the ink flow will be less effective at mitigating clogs and air ingestion in the CFS.
You can still print in "standard" mode, especially if you are automating this process on a printer which is mainly used for document printing and not photo printing. However, it will be less effective at mitigating clogs and ink ingestion in the CFS as a trade-off.
It is not recommended to print on your photo media. If able, switch out your photo media with a generic media when not using the printer to prevent waste of photo media.
Blank 4x6 index cards work wonders for this use.
A gradient appearing in the grey area is normal.
